What is the purpose of the index?
Some of the purposes of the project are to promote Waterloo's entrepreneurial culture, see a better picture of venture creation activity, and to inspire current students to pursue their own endeavours. The list represents entrepreneurial activity related to University of Waterloo. The goal is to include every company founded by anyone related to Waterloo be that person a student, a professor, a graduate, or staff.
How do companies get on the list?
The list in its beginnings is a working list that represents companies that have been suggested for inclusion and that we reasonably believe fit the criteria.
